About Ambas Authentic Caribbean Cuisine Wolverhampton
Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham
Ambas Authentic Caribbean Cuisine in Birmingham is tucked away, but easy to find once you know where to look. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly; it felt more like a home-cooked meal than a formal restaurant. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the space is bright and cheerful with warm colors and lots of natural light – really welcoming.
The menu is packed with delicious-sounding options. They’ve got all the Caribbean classics you’d expect, plus some interesting twists. One photo shows a perfectly plated jerk chicken that looked incredible, and I saw several vegetarian curries as well. I’d recommend trying the roti – it looked unbelievably flaky.
This place is perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or a fun get-together with friends. The food is flavorful and comforting, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is so laid-back. It's a great alternative to the usual chain restaurants and offers something truly unique; a taste of home for those familiar with the cuisine and a fun introduction for anyone else who wants to try.

Always happy to fill up or shop here. Shop is always tidy and well stocked, food is always fresh looking, and staff are fabulously friendly and helpful.
Absolutely disgusting STAY AWAY AT ALL MEANS
Food was awesome. Tons of flavour, tender meat and perfect sauce to rice ratio !
Super trash! Asked for fried chicken and a fried dumpling. Simple enough right? The chicken wasn't fully fried and tasted like it was cooked weeks ago. The chicken was then smothered in some BBQ sauce which I didn't ask for. The dumpling was aight but was very small. If you're in Wolverhampton and want some decent yard food stay away from this place
For us, it was great. A nice change from living in North Wales. Reasonably priced, correct temperature. One downside was the use of polystyrene containers. Still tasted like home cooking.
