About Bootleggers
Caribbean Restaurant in Belfast
Bootleggers in Belfast is tucked away on a side street, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The space features warm lighting and what looks like reclaimed wood, giving it a really relaxed, almost speakeasy feel. It's not huge, so it felt quite personal and not at all impersonal. Looking through the photos, I noticed some cool artwork on the walls, which added to the vibe.
The menu focuses on Caribbean flavours, and there's a good mix of dishes. They've got jerk chicken, of course, but also some more interesting options like curried goat and a really tempting-looking snapper dish. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of jerk chicken with vibrant sides. I'd definitely recommend trying the curried goat; it smelled incredible when it passed by our table.
Bootleggers is perfect for a date night or a small group of friends wanting a fun, tasty meal. The friendly service and the relaxed environment are a big plus. It’s a welcome addition to the Belfast restaurant scene because it offers something a little different – proper Caribbean food, cooked with care, in a stylish but unpretentious setting.
